Interkultur, an organization that, in partnership with the European Broadcasting Union, organized the 2017 and 2019 editions of the Eurovision Choir, announced that the 2021 edition of the choir event will not be held, not revealing the exact reasons for such cancellation. To date, only Wales had shown interest in participating in the competition.
For now, it is not known if, and when, a third edition of the Eurovision Choir of the Year (ECY) will be held, with Interkultur only saying that more details about the Festival will be revealed in the future.
