Eurovision 2025: first ten qualifiers confirmed for grand final

We have the first ten qualifiers for the final of Eurovision 2025!

Tonight, semi final one of Eurovision 2025 took place live from St Jakobshalle in Basel. The show was hosted by Hazel Brugger and Sandra Studer, and saw 15 acts competing to become one of ten qualifiers for the grand final.

  5. The Netherlands
  6. Poland
  7. San Marino
  8. Estonia
  9. Portugal
  10. Ukraine

The opening act saw a mix of Swiss heritage and Eurovision combined to create a spectatular show on stage. We saw dancers and yodellers on stage, as “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence and “The Code” by Nemo was played on an Alphorn, accompanied by yodelling.

In this semi final, we saw not one but two interval acts. The first interval act saw hosts Hazel and Sandra performing a song that talks about Swiss inventionsand stereotypes. They were later joined by Swedish icon Petra Mede who joined in for the latter part of the performance. The second interval act saw Eurovision 2024 participants Iolanda, Jerry Heil, Marina Satti and Silvester Belt

Tonight’s qualifiers will join the five automatic qualifiers France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom, and host country Switzerland in the Eurovision 2025 final on Saturday 17th May.

Semi final two of Eurovision 2025 will take place on Thursday 15th May at St Jakobshalle in Basel, where a further sixteen acts will be competing for the last ten spots in the final.
