How is the running order decided?
Once all of the songs that will be competing in the Eurovision 2023 semi finals have been released, the host country, the United Kingdom, put together the running order for the semi finals, taking in to consideration the styles/genres of the songs, and each country’s staging plans, to try and create a show that flows well. These running orders are then approved by Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl.
The semi finals of Eurovision 2023 will take place live on Tuesday May 9th and Thursday May 11th from 20:00 GMT at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, with the grand final on Saturday 13th May.
