The BBC has revealed an exceptional lineup for the Grand Final!
Every year fans look forward to finding out which artists will be returning to Eurovision for a live performance. This year the BBC has pulled out all the stops and has a line-up that will delight all fans! The announcement was made today in an EBU press release published online.
To honour Liverpool’s musical history, a number of artists will participate in the Grand Final as guests offering a panorama of the best Eurovision performances of recent years.
13 artists return for guest performances
You’ll need to keep your focus if you don’t want to lose count on the night of the final on 13 May in Liverpool, when 13 artists will be performing as guests.
2022 winners Kalush Orchestra will open the evening with their song “Stefania” and a powerful performance titled “Voices of a New Generation”.
The famous flag parade will offer us a unique performance of Ukrainian best artists such as Jamala (2016 winner), Go_A (2021 5th), Verka Serduchka (2007 2nd) and Tina Karol (2006 7th).
For the first interval performance, Sam Ryder (2022 2nd) is set to perform on the Eurovision stage once again!
The Liverpool Songbook, the closing intermission performance, honors the notable pop music contributions made by the host city. The BBC has teamed up with six legendary acts from previous Eurovision Song Contests, including the Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence (2019, winner), Italy’s Mahmood (2019, 2nd), Israel’s Netta (2018, winner), Iceland’s Dai Freyr (2021, 4th), Sweden’s Cornelia Jakobs (2022, 4th), and Liverpool’s own Sonia (1993 2nd).
It will be a great way to close the 2023 Eurovision season in style, won’t it?
