Eurovision 2023: Catherine Tate confirmed as spokesperson for United Kingdom

Catherine Tate has been confirmed as the U.K.'s spokesperson for Eurovision 2023.

The BAFTA award winning actress and comedian Catherine Tate will be reading out the jury points from the United Kingdom in the Eurovision 2023 grand final on May 13th.

She will be announcing the points live from inside the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, marking the first time that a U.K. spokesperson has read the points live from the host arena.

In true Catherine Tate style, she has had this to say on her new found role: “It’s very exciting to be announcing the iconic “douze points” at Eurovision. It’s just a foot in the door really as next year I hope to be the U.K. entrant!”

Who is Catherine Tate?

Catherine Tate is a British actress, comedian and writer, most known for her own show The Catherine Tate Show, for being Doctor Who’s companion in series four in 2008, and for her role in the U.K. version of “The Office”.

Catherine has won numerous awards throughout her career, including British Comedy AwardsRose d’OrNational Television Awards and SFX Awards, among many others.
