It has been confirmed that Michael Ben David will be performing live in Turin at Eurovision 2022.
Back in mid-April, Israel’s participation in Eurovision 2022 was in jeopardy due to an ongoing strike at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. But now, Israeli broadcaster KAN and Israeli security agency Shin Bet have come to an agreement that enables Michael and the Israeli delegation to travel to Turin.
KAN have issued a statement following on from the announcement: “The company thanks the Shin Bet for its efforts to work for a solution for the security issues despite the difficulty, and we are confident that Michael Ben-David will represent Israel with dignity on the world stage.”
So as of now, the Israeli delegation will now have protection from Shin Bet and an Italian private security firm for the duration of their stay in Italy.
Michael Ben David will perform “I.M” in the second semi final on May 12th live from Pala Olimpico in Turin. Are you happy to hear that the Israeli delegation will be able to travel to Turin? Let us know in the comments below!
