The electro-pop band “We Are Domi” have won ESCZ 2022 and thus will become the Czech Republic’s Eurovision 2022 participant with their song “Lights Off”.
The band beat off six other acts to be crowned the winner. Their win was decided by a mix of 50% jury vote, 25% international vote and 25% Czech vote.
Who are "We Are Domi"?
The band was formed in the United Kingdom in 2018, but now based in the Czech Republic. Their main musical style could be described as mix between dance, pop and electric, with some Scadinavian influences too.
This is the third year in a row that the Czech Republic has used a national final to chose their Eurovision representative. Their latest participation in 2021 saw Benny Cristo sing “Omaga” in the second semi final, finishing in 15th place.
