Danish broadcaster DR have revealed the hosts for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022, as well as the venue in which the show will take place. Tina Müller and Martin Brygmann will be returning as hosts for a second year running, and they will be hosting the show live from the Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will consist of eight songs. These songs, and their accompanying artists, will be revealed in February 2022, just a few weeks before the show.
"Danish Melody Grand Prix is a huge folk festival and after two years without audiences, I am most looking forward to together with a packed Boxen to give it the eight songs and artistssupport and celebration they deserve. We need to create a terrific atmosphere that can be felt in earnest - also at home in the living rooms. This is an evening where we together give a shot of real party, colors and musical joy to each other."
In the weeks leading up to Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, Herning and the surrounding cities will be putting on a wide range of cultural activities to warm up the whole of Denmark for the show. These activies will be revealed in the new year.
Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2022 will be broadcast live on DRTV and DR1 on March 5th at 20:00 CET. Tickets for the show will go on sale on September 23rd at 10:00 CET.
