Save the date! ESCZ will be taking place on December 4th.

It has been confirmed that the final of ESCZ 2023 will be taking place at Roxy Club in Prague on December 4th, starting from 19:30 CET. The show will once again be hosted by Adam Mišík, and will be broadcast live on ČT, iVysílání, and the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

This will mark the first time since 2009 that the Czech national selection will be broadcast live, and will mark the first time ever that the show will have a live audience. If you would like to be an audience member, you can send your personal details to: escmusic@ceskatelevize.CZ. Tickets are free.

A total of five acts will be competing in the ESCZ 2023 final. The Czech delegation, along with their newly appointed music advisor, Cesar Sampson (Austia Eurovision 2018), are currently in the process of finalising the selection process for the five finalists.

The five acts of ESCZ 2023 are expected to be revealed very soon; however, their songs will not be revealed until the final show itself on December 4th.

Since Czechia made their Eurovision debut in 2007, the country has mostly used some kind of national final to select their entries for Eurovision, with the excepction of 2015, where their entry was chosen by an expert panel from a field of five specially commissioned nominees.

This year sees ESCZ returning for a third year running. We Are Domi were the winners of the first edition, and went on to finish in 22nd place in the Eurovision 2022 final with “Lights Off”. Girl group Vesna were crowned the winners of this years edition with their song “My Sisters Crown”, and went on to achieve a second top ten placing for Czechia in the Eurovision final, finishing in 10th place.
