Is a Eurovision return on the cards for Belgium's Loïc Nottet?
Journalist Clément Garin has reported that Belgian Broadcaster RTBF have selected Loïc Nottet to represent them at Eurovision 2026 in Austria, ten years after he represented Belgium at Eurovision 2015, also in Austria.
Clément Garin goes on to report that there were approximately 40 artists in the running to represent Belgium at Eurovision 2026, including Mentissa, who participated in Belgium’s national final for Eurovision 2025 with “Désolée”, as well as Henri PFR and Essyla, both of whom became known from The Voice Belgium.
However; at the present time, this is just a rumour, and no information about Belgium’s representative for Eurovision 2026 has been revealed by RTBF.
Loïc Nottet: ten years on
Loïc Nottet rose to fame in Belgium after finishing as runner-up in the third season of The Voice Belgique in 2014. Later that year, RTBF confirmed him as Belgium’s Eurovision 2015 representative with the song “Rythym Inside”. At the 2015 contest in Vienna, Loïc went on to finish in 4th place in the final, achieving Belgium’s first top five placing since 2003.
Since Eurovision 2015, Loïc has gone on to compete in, and win, season six of Danse avec les stars in 2015, release three albums in 2017, 2020 and 2023, and one EP in 2019. Throughout his career, Loïc has toured across Belgium, and also France, Germany and the United Kingdom. In 2017, he won Best Belgian Act at the 2017 Europe Music Awards. He also came full circle when he joined The Voice Belgique in 2020 and 2025 as a judge.
