It has been announced that the young singer Carla Lazzari, professionally known as Carla, will be the spokesperson for France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. You may remember her from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2019 when she was the representative for France that year. She sung the song Bim Bam Toi, placing 5th with 169 points. The announcement was made in a press conference this afternoon with the 2021 representative Barbara Pravi.
Cyprus has also announced Louis Pastalides as their spokesperson
On top of Carla being announced as the spokesperson, Cyprus has also announced that Louis Pastalides will be announced as the spokesperson for the island nation. He is also set to be the commentator for Eurovision 2021 as well.

Here’s the lineup of spokespeople for Eurovision 2021 that we have so far:
- France – Carla
- Cyprus – Louis Pastalides
- United Kingdom – Amanda Holden
- Denmark – Tina Muller

France in Eurovision
France is one of the 7 countries that first participated in the 1956 Eurovision Song Contest, and they have made 62 appearances ever since. France has won the contest 5 times. In 1958, 1960, 1962,1969 and 1977. In addition to their 5 wins, France also has 4 second places and 7 third places. Some of France’s recent entries include J’ai cherché (2016); Mercy (2018) and Roi (2019). Tom Leeb was selected to represent France in 2020, before the cancellation of the contest. Barbara Pravi will represent France in 2021 with the song Voilà.
