First artist out, 32nd song released!
Jérémie Makiese has released Belgium’s Eurovision 2022 entry “Miss You“.
The reveal of the song happened on VivaCité radio show Le 8/9, while the music video was first shown on TV channel La Une.
"Miss You" lyrics:
Sometimes I Feel Down
Sometimes I Booze
Sometimes I Fall
Sometimes I Do Wrong
One Day I’m Cool
One Day I’m Cold
And I’ve Been Trying To Escape My Past
Give Up On The Sadness That You Left Behind
I’ve Been Trying To Erase My Mind
You Stay Like A Nightmare
When I Close My Eyes
Am I Gonna Miss You? No
Promise I Won’t Miss You, No
I’m Gonna Break Through, No
I’ll Never Hate You
I’ll Never Chase You
And Sometimes I Feel Good
Sometimes I Lose My Mind And My Soul
That’s When I See You
And Out Of Thе Blue I Answer Your Call
And I’ve Been Trying To еscape My Past
Give Up On The Sadness That You Left Behind
I’ve Been Trying To Erase My Mind
But You Stay Like A Nightmare
When I Close My Eyes
Am I Not Gonna Miss You? No
Promise I Won’t Miss You, No
I’m Gonna Break Through, No
I’ll Never Hate You
I’ll Never Chase You
Am I Not Gonna Miss You? No, No
Promise I Won’t Miss You, No
I’m Gonna Break Through, No
I’ll Never Hate You
I’ll Never Chase You
I Gotta Make It To The Bright Side
I’ve Been Lying When I Said
I’m Fine (Said I’m Fine)
Wanna Find A Way To Feel Alive
Am I Not Gonna Miss You? No
Promise I Won’t Miss You, No
I’m Gonna Break Through, No
I’ll Never Hate You
I’ll Never Chase You
Am I Not Gonna Miss You? No
Promise I Won’t Miss You, No
I’m Gonna Break Through, No
I’ll Never Hate You
I’ll Never Chase You
Never Feel Bad
When Love Is Good
Life Goes On
Don’t Wanna Live My Life
Waiting For Your Call
Sometimes I Feel Down
Sometimes I Booze
Sometimes I Fall
Belgium at Eurovision
Belgium have taken part at Eurovision 62 times, debuting in the first ever contest in 1956 with Mony Marc and her song “Le plus beau jour de ma vie“. 30 years later, Belgium won their first and so far only Eurovision trophy when 13 year old Sandra Kim took the crown with her song “J’aime la vie“. Before UK made it the cool thing to do in the 2000s, Belgium actually received 0 points on two occasions; in 1962 and 1965.
Since the arrival of semi finals, Belgium have managed to qualify for the final 7/17 times. Their most recent qualification came last year when Hooverphonic finished 19th in Rotterdam with their song “The Wrong Place“.
On September 5th 2021, Belgian broadcaster RTBF revealed The Voice Belgique winner Jérémie Makiese would be their representive, becoming the first country to announce their artist for Eurovision 2022
