Being, doing and looking good: Brunette releases Armenia Eurovision 2023

Dear future lover, meet Brunette!

Brunette has released her song “Future Lover” which will represent Armenia at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool.

Who is Brunette?

Brunette is a 21 year old singer from Yerevan, Armenia. She has been singing since the age of four and writing music since 15.

In September 2019, Brunette released her first debut single “Love the Way You Feel“. Her most successful single to date is her 2022 track “Bac kapuyt achqerd“, with the music video having over 5.5 million views on YouTube.

Brunette is also known for being in a girl group called En aghjiknery (ThoseGirlz). Their most successful single is called “Menq“.

Armenia at Eurovision

The Caucasus nation debuted in 2006 with André and his song “Without Your Love” which came 8th in Athens. Armenia have managed to reached the top 10 at Eurovision 6 more times after that, with the best result coming in 2008 with Sirusho and her song “Qélé, Qélé“, which came 4th. 

After not competing in 2021, Armenia returned to contest last year. Rosa Linn snapped Armenia’s two year non qualification streak, finishing 20th with her song “Snap“.

After the contest, “Snap” went viral in TikTok and became a worldwide hit. The song reached 21 in the UK singles chart, 67 in the US Billboard Hot 100, and 133 in the Billboard Global 200.
