Alessandra is the winner of Melodi Grand Prix and will represent Norway at Eurovision 2023

Alessandra is the winner of Melodi Grand Prix and will represent Norway at Eurovision 2023 with her song "Queen of Kings".

The show saw a total of nine acts competing to be crowned the winner, and Norway’s Eurovision 2023 representative, with the results being decided by 50% televote and 50% jury vote.

  • Alessandra – Queen of Kings

The international jury was made up of ten members from the United Kingdom, Finland, Azerbaijan, Spain, Ukraine, Czech Republic, France, Iceland, The Netherlands and Sweden. 

Alessandra won the jury vote with 104 points, wracking up an impressive six sets of 12 points. Atle Petterson was in second place with 94 points whilst Ulrikke rounded out the top three with 60 points. Alessandra was also the winner of the televote, with 107 points, with Ulrikke in second place with 78 points and Swing’it in third place with 43 points.

Reigning Melodi Grand Prix champions Subwoolfer performed their Eurovision hit “Give That Wolf A Banana” and their new single “Worst Kept Secret”. During the performance, the two members revealed themselves to be Ben Adams (British singer-songwriter, member of A1) and Gaute Ormåsen, a Norwegian singer.
