AJ Odudu has been confirmed as the United Kingdom's spokesperson for Eurovision 2022.
Onatejiro “AJ” Odudu is a British television presenter. She is most famous for co-presenting “Married at First Sight: Afters” on Channel 4 and “Big Brothers Bit On The Side” alongside Emma Willis and Rylan Clark on channel 5. Most recently, AJ was a contestant on “Strictly Come Dancing” in 2021, making it to the semi final with her dance partner Kai Widdrington.
AJ will become the first spokepserson for the United Kingdom to announce the country’s jury results from Manchester, following the BBC’s move to Salford. Previously, the jury results were announced from London.
AJ Odudu joins David Jeanmotte from Belgium; Monika Lelas Halambek from Croatia; Élodie Gossuin from France; Stefania (Greece 2021); Vaidotas Valiukevičius (Lithuania 2020 & 2021); Lorella Flego from Slovenia; Nieves Álvarez from Spain and Dotter from Sweden in the Eurovision 2022 spokespersons line-up.
AJ joins Graham Norton, Rylan Clark and Scott Mills as part of the BBC’s Eurovsion 2022 commentary team. Graham will be comentating on the grand final live from Turin on May 14th, whilst Rylan and Scott Mills will be providing commentary for the two semi finals live from Turin on May 10th and 12th on BBC Three.
The semi finals are returning to BBC Three this year for the first time since 2015, as Kate Phillips, Director of Entertainment, explains: “The BBC continues to be the home of Eurovision in the UK, across TV, Radio and Online, and this year it’s set to be bigger and better than ever. We’re excited to welcome the semi-finals back to BBC Three, before the Grand Final itself live on BBC One and Radio 2.”
