Estonia have chosen! It's 5MIINUST & Puuluup for Eurovision 2024!
The final of Eesti Laul 2024 took place tonight at Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn. Ten acts were competing for the chance to become Estonia’s Eurovision 2024 representative.
- Brother Apollo – “Bad Boy”
- Carlos Ukareda – “Never Growing Up”
- Ewert and The Two Dragons – “Hold Me Now”
- Anet Vaikmaa – “Serotoniin”
- Ollie – “My Friend”
- Daniel Levi – “Over the Moon”
- Uudo Sepp, Sarah Murray – “Still Love”
- Peter Põder – “Korraks veel”
- 5MIINUST and Puuluup – “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi”
- Nele-Liis Vaiksoo – “Käte ümber jää”
The voting was divided into two rounds – the first round saw 50% televote and 50% jury vote, voting on all of the ten acts. The top three acts from the first round of voting all advanced to the superfinal, where 100% televoting was used to determine the winner of Eesti Laul 2024, and Estonia’s Eurovision 2024 representative.
5MIINUST, Ollie and Nele-Liis Vaiksoo were the top three acts of the first round of voting and all advanced to the superfinal. The televoting opened again, which saw 5MIINUST & Puuluup coming out on top with their song “(Nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi”. Ollie finished in second place, Nele-Liis finished in third place.
Last year saw Alika and her song “Bridges” winning Eesti Laul and going on to represent Estonia at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, where she achieved an 11th top ten placing for Estonia, and their first top ten placing since 2018, finishing in 8th place with 168 points.
