Returning artists
In the world of Eurovision, there are usually some returning artist willing to fight again for the title or simply to promote their new music. There is no exception in PZE23. These are some of the returning artists:
Angellina
Anđela Vujović, better known by her stage name Angellina, was one of the fan favourites to win PZE22 with her song Origami. While she managed to take the respectable 4th place, her song became a huge hit in Serbia. After the national selection, she continued participating at different music festivals such as Beogradsko Proleće with a song Melanholija and Skale with a song Sanjanja.
Last week she announced her debut album 1000 ljudi that is going to be released this week. She also described her PZE23 song Lanac (Chain) as a song that was written in affect and that is talking about fake friendships and materialism.
Tijana Dapčević
We were all surpised to see Tijana competing at PZE22, when she replaced of Princ of Vranje.
after his withdrawal. She finshed 11th in the final, but her song Ljubi, ljubi doveka managed to sneak in serbian radio stations.
If she wins PZE23, this will be her second appearence at the Eurovision, after she represented F.Y.R. of Macedonia in 2014, when she didn’t succed to qualify to the grand final.
Ivona
Radio host Ivona Pantelić performed her debut single Znam at PZE22 and she managed to take 12th place in the final.
After the show, she published two singles, Ponovo and Merci, which she performed at the Skale festival.
Boris Subotić
After the songs for PZE22 were released, his song Vrati mi instantly became one of the favourites to win the contest, since Eurovision fans have a thing for a good Balkan ballad.
Despite outstanding vocals, his mediocre performance didn’t manage to take him to the final.
In December, he hinted on his instagram story that he applied for PZE23, and this time not with the ballad.
