The EBU have confirmed that a total of 18 countries will be participating in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest. This is the highest number of participating countries we have seen since 2021, when 19 countries took part. This list of 18 countries includes three returnees – Azerbaijan, Croatia and Montenegro, who last participated in 2021, 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Director of Junior Eurovision, Martin Green, has said:

“We are thrilled to welcome 18 talented young artists and their delegations to Tbilisi. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is a unique showcase of youthful creativity and cultural diversity, and every year it reminds us of the boundless energy and imagination of Europe’s next generation. Our thanks go to GPB for their dedication and creativity in preparing a stunning stage and artwork for what will be an unforgettable event. We can’t wait to share this magical experience with the world in December.”

Executive Producer for Georgian broadcaster GBP, Natia Mshvenieradze, is very happy to be welcoming Junior Eurovision to Georgia for a second time:

“It is a great honour to welcome you all to our beautiful country, Georgia. We are proud to host Europe’s most joyful and inspiring music event already for the second time. This year’s show will be the result of months of dedication, creativity, and teamwork, bringing together the very best of our production, stage design, and technical excellence. Stage, set, ready!

Alongside the confirmed list of participating countries, Georgian broadcaster GBP have also revealed the stage design for Junior Eurovision 2025, which draws deeply from Georgia’s heritage. The main part of the stage is shaped like a Doli, the traditional Georgian folk drum. Surrounding this, we see sculptural forms which reflect the mountainous landscape of Georgia.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, on Saturday 13th December at 17:00 CET, after Andria Putkaradze brought the country their fourth Junior Eurovision victory with the song “To My Mom”. Georgia previously won Junior Eurovision in 2008, 2011 and 2016, with Tbilisi previously hosting the contest in 2017.
