
Katrina Leskanich has released another new single “I Want to Love Again” on Friday, 7th August. This new single forms part of her latest album “Hearts, Loves and Babies”, scheduled for release at the end of August. She previously released “Drive” in July 2020.
Katrina revealed on her twitter that “I Want to Love Again” some extra news regarding the song.
Katrina revealed at a press release that lyrics for the song were inspired by Katrina’s close friend, Samantha Fox, who lost her partner Myra Stratton to cancer in 2015.
Katrina Leskancich is no stranger to Eurovision. She and her band, Katrina and the Waves, won Eurovision 1997 with the song “Love Shine a Light”. It was the UK’s last win at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The song has become an anthem with the Eurovision fandom and many artistes have covered the song since its release. The latest cover was extremely heartwarming and featured all of this year’s would-be performers, singing from their homes, after Eurovision 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic.
