The brother and sister duo ZiBBZ, Switzerland’s Eurovision 2018 representatives, have released their new single, (alongside an official music video) “Will Flowers Grow?” in co-operation with Drew Cole.
The accompanying music video shows drawings by children of different nationalities and lets you see the world through their eyes. The kids have been asked to show their future in a drawing.
ZiBBZ have said on social media that the song is for everyone to think about what kind of future we want to create for the children because the world we create today is their tomorrow.
The lyrics of the song:
Will flowers grow, in a world broken? Will flowers grow, when words are spoken? Will flowers grow, when the panic is over? I wanna know, will flowers grow? Uh uuh uhuh – wake up and rise Uuh uhuh – rise for today
I won’t be afraid to live a new year. And no good tomorrow can grow from fear. Will flowers grow, at the gun of a soldier? Will flowers grow, when my boy is older? Can we grow in a shadow cage?
Well I don’t know, but I hope they grow. Uh uuh uhuh – wake up n rise. Uuh uhuh – rise for today. I won’t be afraid to, live a new year. And no good tomorrow, can grow from fear
