Do you remember Wig Wam’s Eurovision entry “In My Dreams” back in 2005? They brought us one of the greatest glam rock entries at Eurovision, which is still popular among fans. Well now we can tell you: Wig Wam are back! The glam metal band have reunited after a six year hiatus and released their come-back song “Never Say Die”.
The song stays true to Wig Wam’s iconic style. It’s a glam rock song that showcases lead singer Åge Sten Nilsen’s powerful vocals as well as Trond Holter’s epic guitar skills.
Wig Wam were founded in 2001 and quickly became one of Norway’s most popular live bands. They already tried to participate at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, where they reached 2nd place in the Norsk Melodi Grand Prix with the song “Crazy Things”. One year later, they won over the Norwegian public with their song “In My Dreams” and achieved 9th place in the grand final in Kiev.
Unfortunately, the band decided to split after four studio albums, numerous hits, hitting the Japanese market and being support act for KISS. It’s all the more gratifying to be able to report on their comeback now.
