Victoria is back with a brand new single "How To Ruin a Life".
Bulgaria’s Eurovision 2020 and 2021 representative, Victoria, has released a brand new song and accompanying music video. This marks her first official music video since her Eurovision 2021 entry “Growing Up Is Getting Old”.
The music video, featuring popular Bulgarian actor Philip Bukov, has been directed by Victoria Karakoleva from Mooncut Film Studio, with cinematography by Damian Dimitrov. The music video has been produced by Ligna Studios and is supported by BNK Wines.
The end of the music video sees a teaser for Victoria’s next song to be released, “Were You Ever”, which is due to be released in early December. The song is already available for pre-save on all major streaming platforms.
Victoria has written “How To Ruin a Life” with American songwriter Sophie Hintze and Swedish songwriters and music producers Helena Larsson and Oliver Björkvall. They have all previously worked together on “Growing Up Is Getting Old”, “Phantom Pain”, “The Funeral Song” and “The Worst”.
Victoria was internally selected by the Bulgarian broadcaster to be their representative for Eurovision 2020 with her song “Tears Getting Sober” which was also selected internally.
After the cancellation of the 2020 contest, the Bulgarian broadcaster brought back Victoria for the 2021 contest. Her entry “Growing Up Is Getting Old” was selected internally from a 5-song EP that Victoria had recently released. At Eurovision in Rotterdam, Victoria qualifed to the final, where she finished in joint 10th place (alongside Greece) with 170 points.
Since Eurovision, Victoria has continued to release music, alongside touring and performing on the third series of “The Masked Singer Bulgaria” in December 2021, which she won, performing as Miss. In the summer of 2022, Victoria took part in the biggest tour in Bulgaria: Coca-Cola The Voice Happy Energy Tour, and performed “How To Ruin a Life” at Sofia Pride.
