| October 6, 2020

Fans from Bosnia & Herzegovina in Eurovision have to be strong now: The country will not take part in the Eurovision Song Contest next year. According to a news article on ESC Today, the Bosnian national broadcaster BHRT has confirmed that Bosnia & Herzegovina will not participate in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.

The broadcaster explained that the non-participation is effected due to financial problems, the country is still under EBU sanctions and can’t participate at the Eurovision Song Contest until it respects its dept. This is also the reason why they were unable to broadcast the contest in previous years.

Further countries that have already confirmed they will not participate in the next year’s Eurovision Song Contest are: Andorra, Luxembourg, Monaco and Slovakia.
