Ukraine’s Eurovision 2021 representative GO_A have provided an update on how work is progressing for their Eurovision 2021 song. The band has established the topic for their song and confirmed it will not be similar to their Eurovision 2020 song ‘Solovey’.
The update was provided by lead singer Kateryna Pavlenko who informed the Ukrainian broadcaster UA:PBC with the following update. The update reads:
“I am inspired by new impressions, as far as possible in quarantine, and generate them into creativity. It seems I have finally found the topic I want to reveal in the song, so I am additionally studying the materials that will help to understand it.”
The news does not confirm how Go_A and the Ukrainian broadcaster will select the song. In previous years, the broadcaster has held a national selection, known as Vidbir, to select its participant and song for Eurovision. In 2020, GO_A won with the song ‘Solovey’ and thus earned the right to represent Ukraine. Following the cancellation of Eurovision 2020, the broadcaster internally selected GO_A as its representative for Eurovision 2021.
What do you think is the topic GO_A have decided upon for the song? Would you like to see a national selection staged to select the song for Eurovision 2021? Let us know in the comments below!
