Excited speculation surrounds the rumour regarding Jaagup Tuisk of Eesti Laul 2020 potentially directing Uku Suviste’s Eesti Laul 2021 music video.
Jaagup was hailed a favourite during Eesti Laul 2020 with his entry ‘Beautiful Lie’ which was accompanied by a theatrical performance and music video.
‘Beautiful Lie’ finished 2nd in the Eesti Laul 2019 superfinal, of course to Uku Suviste’s ‘What Love Is’.
Tuisk’s contemporary performance was something fresh and new to Eesti Laul fans, so will he use this to influence Uku’s 2021 entry?
Jaagup’s primary occupation is directing, and he’s known as one of the best music video directors in Estonia, so we can definitely expect something well produced and possibly with theatrical elements.
Uku’s Eesti Laul 2021 entry “The Lucky One” has been considered as another level to ‘What Love Is’ according to insiders. Additionally Tomi Rahula, Head of Delegation for Estonia and Eesti Laul producer has also said he prefers it to Uku’s 2020 entry.
