It has been confifmed that Georgia will select its Eurovision 2023 act through The Voice.
After two years of internal selections, the country has now decided that it will revert back to a television show to find its Eurovision representative, and they have decided upon The Voice. Applications for the fifth series are open until September 20th.
At the present time, it has only been confirmed that the winner of The Voice will be chosen to go to Eurovision. No information about how their song will be chosen has been mentioned yet.
This will not be the first time that Georgia will use a televised show to select their Eurovision representative. In 2017, the broadcaster opted for a 25-act national final, in which Tamara “Tako” Gachechiladze won with “Keep The Faith”.
In 2019 and 2020, the broadcaster decided it would use Georgian Idol as its selection method, with Oto Nemsadze and Tornike Kipiani being the respective winners.
