Not long now until the big day! Last Saturday we saw the very first rehearsals commence for Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam, starting with those in the first semi final, due to take place on May 18th. On Sunday during the second round of rehearsals, Andy caught up with Cyprus’ Elena Tsagrinou about her experience in Rotterdam so far.
Elena explained that she had been up since 4am that morning prepping and getting ready for her first rehearsal of El Diablo, which she mentioned had been 6 months in the making before the contest.
“I’m very proud of what we have done”, Elena said, before going on to tell Andy that the dance moves took a lot of practice, and she usually warms up for 2 hours before a performance.
“I want to have my fans with me all the time”.
After her long day at the first rehearsals, Elena said she and her team would relax by eating some good food. We cant blame her!
Make sure to catch Elena representing Cyprus with El Diablo in the first Semi Final on May 18th at 21:00 CET. You can watch Andy chat with Elena on our YouTube channel.
