Sweden is gearing up for the new season with 2824 songs submitted for Melodifestivalen!
The Melodifestivalen Instagram account has reported that this is the largest number of received songs in 10 years. The competition producer, Karin Gunnarsson, has said that now they will begin to listening to the songs and reducing them down to the 28 songs that will make it to he Melfest stage next year. The selection jury selects 14 songs among the submitted contributions, and the other 14 contributions are selected by SVT during the autumn.
