Mariam Shengelia to represent Georgia at Eurovision 2025

2020 Lithuanian Eurovision artists The Roop have just announced they will be taking part in Lithuania’s National Final for 2021.
In a statement released on the band’s social media, they said:
“The question we were hearing since Spring will be answered now – we decided to take part in the national Eurovision selection. We have a song and we have a vision. Let’s hope it will become Euro-vision.”
The band which formed in 2014, won the 2020 national selection, Pabandom iš naujo! (Let’s Try Again) with their song “On Fire”. They were fast becoming one of the favourites to win Eurovision until the contest was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
