SVT showcase, a mesmerizing time-lapse video on Instagram has given us our first look at the innovative stage set to host this year’s myriad of performances. Designed by the visionary duo, Florian Wieder and Frederik Opsomer, the stage design marks a significant leap into a new era of stage aesthetics for Eurovision.

Interestingly, the stage’s cross shape, which resembles the Swiss cross, was an unintended design element. One of the most groundbreaking features introduced this year is the incorporation of multiple floating LED cubes around the stage. These cubes not only elevate the visual dynamics of the performances but also herald Eurovision’s step into an ultra-modern era. The ability of these cubes to transform the space with moving light and color promises a spectacular visual feast for both the live audience and viewers at home.

Further adding to the excitement, a video shared by a Eurovision technician on YouTube offers a preview of the stage in action. This clip features a dramatic countdown and showcases the elaborate light effects and moving parts, giving us a taste of the technical wizardry that will bring each performance to life.

As we approach the contest, the innovative stage design sets a high bar for what’s to come. Whether you’re a long-time Eurovision fan or a newcomer to the festivities, this year’s stage promises to make a lasting impression.
