It has just been announced that Palante is the song that Soleá will sing at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. An urban pop song with a very modern sound that has been infused with the personality of the 9-year-old Sevillian artist.
Spain has published today the title and one minute of the song that Soleá will sing at Junior Eurovision this year. From what we can hear in the preview, the song has several musical influences and sends an encouraging message to the world in the face of the global crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. With catchy rhythm and positive message, Soleá appeals to collective responsibility and encourages youth to always look ahead and emphasize the importance of social union. A powerful proposal that is the work of the composers César G. Ross, Hajar Sbihi (ASHA) and Bruno Valverde.
The full song and the video for Soleá will be published on 7th October.
Spain is one of the 16 countries that first debuted in the 2003 Junior Eurovision, where they finished second. Spain is one of the best scoring countries in Junior Eurovision, with 4 out of their 5 entries placing in the top 3, and even winning the contest in 2004, with María Isabel and her song Antes Muerta Que Sencilla. After 2006 Spain withdrew from the contest, and did not come back until 2019, where Melani Garcia finished 3rd with her song Marte.
