Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO have revealed the names of the acts who will be competing in the 2022 edition of EMA alongside the winners of EMA FREŠ.
There are a total of 16 established acts who will be performing in one of two semi finals in January 2022 alongside the four winners of EMA FREŠ.

EMA 2022 will consist of two semi finals and one grand final. Out of these 16 acts, eight of them will perform in each semi final alongside two songs from EMA FREŠ. A total of six acts from each semi final will advance to the final, three from televoting and three from jury voting.
In the final, 12 acts will be battling it out to be crowned Slovenia’s Eurovision 2022 representative. The winner will be decided by 50% televoting and 50% five-member jury voting.
Slovenia was represented by Ana Soklič in both Eurovision 2020 and 2021. Ana finished in 13th place in the first semi final of Eurovision 2021 with 44 points. In 2021, a special edition of EMA was broadcast, due to Ana being brought back by the broascaster for the 2021 contest after the cancellation of the 2020 contest. The show served as a platform for Ana to reveal her song “Amen”, whilst also celebrating Slovenia’s 60th Eurovision anniversary.
