The slogan for Junior Eurovision 2023 has been revealed.

“Heroes” is the theme and slogan for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest on Sunday November 26th at Palais Nikaia.

Head of Delegation for France, Alexandra Redde, revealed the slogan in an EBU press conference in Liverpool on May 10th, and explained that they wanted to keep a fairytale-like theme for this year’s contest, similar to that of “Imagine” from 2021.

“Some serious topics like the environmental theme were extremely present in many songs of the last contest, and the children are the real Heroes of tomorrow, and they are the ones who have the solutions. So we wanted to let them empower themselves!”

“I’m keeping a few surprises in store for you, particularly in terms of the stage and artwork, but just like in 2021, we want to offer delegations an exceptional set design for expression, and allow the brand to continue to flourish as all these wonderful artists will do on our Nice stage.”

Junior Eurovision 2023 returns to France for a second time following on from Lissandro’s Junior Eurovision 2022 win in Armenia with “Oh Mamman”. Paris hosted the contest in 2021 after Valentina brought France their first Junior Eurovision win.

At the present time, 11 countries have confirmed their participation for the contest – Armenia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Malta, North Macedonia, Poland, Spain, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
