San Marino Eurovision 2021 act Senhit has provided an official statement on Flo Rida’s participation in Rotterdam. On the San Marino Eurovision account she stated the following:
⚠️OFFICIAL STATEMENT by @senhitofficial ⚠️— San Marino in Eurovision 🇸🇲 (@EurovisionSM) March 21, 2021
"If circumstances allow it, of course, Flo Rida will be on the Eurovision stage. He heard the song, loved it, and wanted to participate, so I invited him to come to Eurovision in San Marino" 🇸🇲❤️#ESC2021 #OpenUp #SanMarino pic.twitter.com/CDyt1an9ju
The statement confirms Flo Rida’s participation will be dependant on the situation regarding the current Covid-19 pandemic. Whilst it is expected that many delegations will perform live from Rotterdam itself, measures are in place that require all delegations to film a pre-recorded performance, that will be used if not able to perform in Rotterdam. It is also worth noting Flo Rida is based in America, so a different set of rules could be in place restricting the possibility of him appearing live in Rotterdam.
