The Danish broadcaster has today revealed that the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2021 will take place on March 6th. A total of 8 acts will battle it out to be crowned the winner, and Denmark’s Eurovision 2021 representative.
The broadcaster has also released the rules and regulations for next years contest. All entries must be submitted by people of Danish relation, either by citizenship or marriage. Citizens of The Faroe Islands and Greenland are also invited to submit entries.
Composers and lyricists can submit as many songs as they would like, however, the artists are only permitted to sing one song. All competing artists must be at least 16 years old at the time of the final.
The Dansk Melodi Grand Prix final will be in Copenhagen once again, and will be held in the headquarters of the broadcaster, DR Byen. This venue, which is a lot smaller compared to previous years, was chosen so that social distancing measures currently in effect in Denmark could be adhered to in the best way possible.
