New Details About Laura Thorn’s Journey to Basel

Portuguese broadcaster RTP have announced that the song submissions for Festival da Canção 2021 will close on November 25th. The news was reported on Fesitval da Canção’s social media.
In their post, they state that all Portuguese nationals or residents of Portugal who may be of a different nationality are welcome to submit songs, as well as Portuguese nationals living outside of Portugal. For all interested persons wishing to submit a song, it does not matter whether you have previously published works or not. All submissions must be sent to: festivaldacancao@rtp.pt. The full rules can be found on RTP’s website.
Back in October, the broadcaster announced that there would be some changes made to the show. There will be two semi finals and one final as normal, but a total of 20 songs will be competing in the competition instead of the usual 16, which means that five songs from each semi final will advance to the final.
