Sanremo 2021 will have a live audience or it will not be held at all

| September 7, 2020

There is no Plan B for Sanremo, it must be in total normality”. That’s how clear Amadeus, Sanremo’s artistic director, has spoken to the Italian press.

The next edition of the historic Italian contest has been postponed to March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, its director seems convinced that the anti-coronavirus rules of social distancing would be too strict for the Ariston Theater. Thus, if the pandemic continues and forces to maintain social distance, Sanremo 2021 will not be celebrated.

These words have quickly circulated through the Italian press and have saddened everyone in Italy. But despite the fact that the contagion data is increasing and the future is a great unknown, the work of Sanremo 2021 continues. Amadeus has also announced that the participating cast for Sanremo 2021 will be announced on 17th December.

What do you think of this announcement? Do you think that Sanremo will go ahead in 2021? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
