Eurovision 2025 Songwriting Camp: Luxembourg calls

Latvia’s Eurovision 2021 entry is set to be revealed next month – definitely the good start to 2021 that we needed! It has been chosen out of eleven potential entries for participant Samanta Tīna produced throughout the year in song writing camps.
Notable participants of the camp include Animata who represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 with Love Injected, which also achieved Latvia’s best result at the contest to date. Arnis Račinskis, producer of Samanta Tīna’s 2020 Eurovision entry Still Breathing was also present at the camps.
Samanta Tīna was internally selected by Latvian broadcaster LTV to represent Latvia at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest due to be held in Rotterdam next May.
After winning Latvian Eurovision selection Supernova in 2020 with Still Breathing, Samanta Tīna won the right to represent Latvia at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, but this was subsequently cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Born Samanta Poļakova but better known by her stage name Samanta Tīna, is a Latvian singer and composer from the town of Tukums in western Latvia.
She has attempted to represent Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest five times – in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019. She has also entered the Lithuanian preselection twice in 2013 and 2017.
In 2020, she won the Latvian selection contest Supernova on her sixth attempt, winning with Still Breathing and earning her spot at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, but due to the pandemic the contest got cancelled and Latvian broadcaster LTV gave Samanta another chance to represent Latvia at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest, due to be held next May in Rotterdam.
