Sam Ryder would be down for helping to chose the United Kingdom's Eurovision 2023 representative.

Speaking to The Mirror ahead of his performance at The Summertime Ball in Wembley Arena, Sam Ryder has mentioned that he would be up for being involved in the United Kingdom’s selection process for Eurovision 2023, among other things.

When asked if he would be up for finding the United Kingdom’s next Eurovision representative, Sam said: “Of course! Whoever does it is in for the time of their life.”

Sam was also asked if he would consider returning to Eurovision in 2023, but the answer was a resounding no: “You know what, as so much as a fan of Eurovision, I just want more people to experience it. The more people that do, the more it will become engrained in the UK’s attitude that Eurovision is something that we are so lucky to have it.”

Sam Ryder also mentioned that he and his dad helped to build the very arena that he was performing at, a far cry from his life now: “The last time I was in Wembley arena I was working with my dad in construction and we helped build the place. This floor that we’re standing on, we could have helped build.”

Since achieving the United Kingdom’s best ever result in the Eurovision Song Contest, Sam’s career and fame has skyrocketed… to space, man, and he is very much in demand at the moment!

Fresh off of his Eurovision high, Sam Ryder has performed at the Platinum Jubilee concert, the Platinum Party at the Palace and at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. Alongside these performances, his debut album There’s Nothing But Space, Man is expected to be released in October 2022 and in 2023, he will embark on a sold-out United Kingdom and Ireland tour.
