Russia is the latest country to confirm their participation for Junior Eurovision 2021, and the fourth country so far to do so after France, Spain and The Netherlands.

Russia has already opened up its selection process, and it will remain open until August 25th. Citizens of Russia, or those residing in the country for at least two years, who are between the ages of 9 to 14 are eligible to submit an entry. All interested persons can fill out an application form online at jesc-russia.com.

Russia has participated in every Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2005 and have cemented themselves as one of the most successful countries in the contest. They have won twice – in 2006 with the Tolmachevy Twins and most recently in 2017 with Polina Bogusevich. Their latest participation saw Sofia Feskova singing “My New Day” at the 2020 contest, where she finished in 10th place with 88 points.
