
Spanish broadcaster RTVE has confirmed they are prepared to host Junior Eurovision 2021 if they win Junior Eurovision 2020 today.
Head of the Spanish delegation Toñi Prieto confirmed that RTVE are ready to host. Speaking at the press conference held on Friday, Toñi Prieto explained:
“If we win, of course . Yes we are ready to organize a festival. We have no fear and we trembles anything. We have not yet speaking with institutions, we must be cautious, but if we win we will put the batteries to organize the festival as it should be”
Toñi Prieto also confirmed that the broadcaster has no current plans to revive the national selection process Eurojunior previously used to select the Spanish Junior Eurovision entrant, used between 2003-2006. The previous format saw familiar names including Junior Eurovision 2004 winner Maria Isabel, Spanish Eurovision 2020 & 2021 representative Blas Canto and 2017 national final fan favourite Mirela compete.
