Norwegian tabloid VG has reported that viewers experienced voting issues during Saturday night’s MGP final. As a result an undisclosed number of viewers were unable to complete the voting process.
An NRK spokesperson released the following comment on the matter.
“We received a record number of votes throughout the broadcast yesterday, and a far greater commitment than last year. But we are naturally not happy when there are audience members who experience problems, and understand that it is experienced as frustrating“
However, the spokesperson added that this did not have any effect on the final outcome.
“The scope (of the issue) has been very small compared to the total number of users who voted yesterday, and has not affected any of the results in the three rounds of voting“
After weeks of semi-finals and a second chance round, Norway has decided that TIX will represent the them in Rotterdam with his song “Fallen Angel”.
