United Kingdom: Clodagh Rogers has passed away aged 78

Paenda, the Austrian representative from 2019, has released her new single “Perfect Fit”. This marks her third single release since Eurovision, and comes after “Like A Domino” in 2019 and “Want Me Not To Want You” in August 2020.
This electro-pop track is about herself singing about her attraction to someone else. While having massive differences, Paenda sings “can’t we just get over it cause maybe we’re the perfect fit”. While accepting that both of them aren’t perfect in any way, Paenda suggests that they should simply accept the fact that they belong together and call themselves a perfect fit. Therefore, the song managed to be an authentic and fun track which doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Paenda represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv with the electro ballad “Limits”. Despite her personal and emotional performance, she didn’t make it out of the second semi final, finishing in 17th place with just 21 points.
Austria have been very successful in Eurovision, pulling off two wins, their most recent being with Conchita Wurst in 2014. They have achieved five consecutive qualifications to the final, including third place in 2018 by Cesar Samson.
Vincent Bueno was supposed to sing for Austria in Rotterdam in 2020 with the song “Alive”, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the contest was cancelled, and Bueno was given a second chance to participate in 2021.
