After a long three months, the 2022 edition of X Factor Israel has come to an end and we have our winner, and Eurovision 2022 representative!
Michael Ben David has been crowned the winner of X Factor Israel 2022, and he will sing his song “I.M” at Eurovision 2022 in Turin.
The final show of X Factor saw four acts taking to the stage at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv. The show was split in to two parts – the duel round and the final round.
The four acts were divided into two duels, with each act performing cover songs. The winers of each duel advanced to the final round, whilst the remaining two contestants went head to head in a second duel. The winner of the second duel advanced to the final round.
- Inbal Bibi – “The Winner Takes It All”
- Michael Ben David – “Shnei Meshug’aim” – WINNER
- Sapir Saban – “Badad”
- Eli Huli – “I’ll Be There For You” – WINNER
Inbal sang “Marionette” in the second duel against Sapir who sang “Breaking My Own Walls”. Inbal won and joined Michael and Eli in the final round. Michael performed what is now his Eurovision song, “I.M”, whist Eli performed “Blinded Dreams” and Inbal performed “Marionette”.
In the final round, Michael Ben David won with a total score of 214 points – 50 jury points, 46 professional commitee points and 118 televotes. Eli Huli just missed out on winning with a total score of 213 points whilst Inbal was in third place with 173 points.
