Eurovision 2021 champions Måneskin have entered the official UK charts at #17 with their winning song, “Zitti e Buoni”.
This is a huge achievement for the band, especially as non-English language songs often have a hard time just making it into the top 40. It also means that their song is the highest charting Eurovision entry in the UK since 2015, when Måns Zelmerlöw’s winner for Sweden “Heroes” peaked at #11 in 2015.
For comparison with other recent winners, Måneskin are at the same position in the UK charts that “Rise Like a Phoenix” was the week after winning in 2014. “Only Teardrops” peaked at #15 in 2013, and “Euphoria” rose to #3 in 2012.
Here is a list of the other songs from Eurovision 2021 that also made it to the UK charts this week:
#43 – Iceland – 10 Years
#47 – United Kingdom – Embers
#59 – Ukraine – Shum
#62 – France – Voilà
#66 – Finland – Dark Side
#86 – Cyprus – El Diablo
#93 – Switzerland – Tout l’Univers
Of course, the United Kingdom isn’t the only place that Måneskin are having success. “Zitti e Buoni” is currently charting in 30 countries across the world, and is #1 in a number of countries, such as Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and Serbia.
