The wait is over: After many delays and format changes, Israel has finally revealed the songs competing for the chance to go with Eden Alene to Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam.
KAN, the Israeli broadcaster, has published the nine songs chosen for the national selection. Yes, nine. After reportedly trimming the number of participants from 16 to ten, KAN has made some further adjustments. Out of the songs that did get selected, listeners would pick two to qualify for the grand final, while a professional jury would add one as well.
All songs are currently available to listen on KAN’s website, where Israeli readers can also vote for their two favorites (the website is in Hebrew but hey, music is a universal language!). The recordings were made anonymously by the songs’ composers or by vocalists they chose, but the three finalists would be recorded by Eden herself.
