Lissandro is the French representative for Junior Eurovision 2022 with the song “Oh Maman!”

The 13 years old singer from Moselle will be the representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Yerevan. The responsible broadcaster France Télévisions has also announced the song title “Oh Maman!” through Twitter. The song is co-written by Frédéric Château who is responsible for Eurovision legends such as Patricia Kaas & Barbara Pravi. Pravi is also a co-writer of the song, making her responsible for the Junior Eurovision entry for France three years in a row now. You can listen to the song in the video below:

First interviews from the French delegation

In a first statement on junioreurovision.tv, Lissandro says the following:

I am very proud and honoured to represent France with my song, from both the pop and rock universe at the same time that I have always loved! And what a pride to be a part of the wonderful Eurovision family. I will give my best to make France’s colours shine.

Alexandra Redde-Amiel, head of the French delegation to Eurovision and director of variety, games and entertainment at France Télévisions says:

We are happy to welcome Lissandro in the big family of the  Junior Eurovision. A young artist full of talent ot defend the colours of France in Armenia.

Who's Lissandro?

Lissandro Formica is a well-known artist in France thanks to his participation at The Voice Kids France in season 7 where he has reached the Final. He considers Elvis Presley as his idol which is also why he performed the Elvis song “Too Much” in his blind audition. 

France at Junior Eurovision

France returned to the contest in 2018 after a long time. Since then, they have always placed within the Top 5. In 2020, Valentina won the contest with her song J’Imagine and brought the contest to Paris in 2021. Enzo represented his host country with the song “Tic Tac”, finishing third.
