Liam Reilly (Ireland, 1990) Has Passed Peacefully at his Home

Sad new has been reported from Ireland.  It was confirmed that Liam Reilly, Ireland’s Eurovision representative for 1990 has died aged 65.  Reilly’s song ‘Somewhere in Europe‘ finished in joint 2nd place.  He also wrote Ireland’s 1991 entry.

Reilly had an extensive career outside of Eurovision, fronting the band Bagatelle for over 40 years.

A statement from his family has said:

We know that his many friends and countless fans around the world will share in our grief as we mourn his loss, but celebrate the extraordinary talent of the man whose songs meant so much to so many
