Katarina Savić will represent Serbia at Junior Eurovision 2022

RTS have confirmed that Katarina Savić will be representing Serbia at Junior Eurovision 2022.

The Serbian broadcaster has confirmed that Katarina Savić was chosen as the country’s representative for the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Armenia through an open call.

Katarina applied to the open call with the song “Svet bez granica” (World Without Borders), which has been written and composed by Ivana Dragićević. This is the song which she will perform in Armenia. No release date has been given for her song.

Katarina Savić is 13 years old. Apart from singing, she attends Ballet school and enjoys playing the Trombone.

Serbia made their Junior Eurovision debut as an independent nation in 2006, where they finished in 5th place. Since then, they have had a further 12 participations, with their best results coming in 2007 and 2010 when they finished in 3rd place.

Serbia’s most recent Junior Eurovision participation in 2021 saw Jovana and Dunja perform “Oči deteta (Children’s Eyes)”, which earned them 13th place with 86 points.
