Who is Kejtlin Gjata?
Kejtlin is a 11 year old girl who grew up in the city of Durrës, Albania.
Since Durrës is a coastal city, Kejtlin loves the sea and nature. She is also quite the pet lover and likes to cuddle with her pet cat Kiki. Her creativity not only shows in her singing, the 11 year old performer also loves to write poetry and painting.
Some of Kejtlin’s favorite musical artists are Adele and Paloma Faith.
How did she get elected?
The Albanian representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022, was chosen with a national final called Junior Fest Albania!
During this competition, Kejtlin had to convince the jury that she was the best choice to represent her country Albania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
The competition, which was broadcasted on October 25, counted 20 competitors in total. But, only one could take that crown and that one spot at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022. And that spot was reserved for Kejtlin.

Pakëz Diell (A Bit of Sunlight) is a beautiful traditional ballad with deep and meaningful lyrics. Kejtlin describes how she would like to share her inner sunshine with somebody.
The song is composed by Endri Muça and written by the 11 year old herself.
In the song Kejtlin asks to save this world from the fire and explains how she would share her sunshine and save her breath for someone else.
She sings the song so peacefully, that you feel every emotion she feels when she sings it and you will follow her in her dream.

Albania at Junior Eurovision
Albania made their Junior Eurovision debut back in The Netherlands in 2012. Back then the country was represented by Igzidora Gjeta with the song ‘Kam Një Këngë vetëm për ju’.
It wasn’t the greatest of starts, Albania unfortunately ended up in the last place with only 35 points.
Since then, they have had some turbulent times at the Junior Eurovision. Their best result at the competition was achieved in 2015, when they ended in the 5th place with 93 points.
Last year, Albania was represented by Anna Gjebrea with the song ‘Stand By You’. During the contest in Paris she placed 14th overall with 84 points.
